I was wondering, do fat burners really burn fat? I have a little beer belly, nothing 3 or 4 weeks of diet and cardio wont help, but what about fat burners? Do they really burn fat or they just speed?
they help AID you in burning fat by giving you energy and raising your metabolic rate. but as you said it, diet and cardio are whats gona do it. and droping the beer

yes, but that still doesnt really answer my question.
all things aside, a person eating a good diet, and I mean pretty good, working out 3 or 4 days a week, and doing cardio.
yes, diet and cardio will do it, its a fact, you are going to lose body fat, weight, or what ever.
now, if you introduce a "fat burner", would this destroy muscle? I am thinking a fat burner, "targets fat to burn".
more over, a perfect fat burn in my humble opinion, would be one that someone takes, and would "burn fat" as per scene on TV, the cover of the mag, ect, ect.
now, as for energy, I have enough. thats not the issue, the issue, is fat burning. does it burn fat. if not, why would anyone want to introduce a foreign substance into their body that is said to "burn fat", but really just messes with your body?
It doesn't burn fat like you're thinking. Rename them to "metabolism enhancers" and there you go. They burn fat by burning more calories, it's not like its a magical pill that just strips fat off of your body.
ya your wanting to literal of an answer. sorry thats not how it works. i know, they use false advertising because it catches people. like i said, thats how it works, and those sources it helps with are what burn fat. more energy means hopefully you will get off your ace and do stuff. a higher metabolic rate means maybe less of the food you eat will spill over into fat and not be stored.
so you are correct they use false advertising. there are few doc prescribed drugs that do actually target fat tissue but they are unhealthy and dangerous. most of these OTC foreign substances are just stimulants in higher doses that are typically safe to consume. so dont be scared of them if your looking into them
they all work in different ways so your general question cant really be answered. different products, different effects. some raise your body temperature, some raise your heart rate, they are essentially taxing your system in to burning more calories. there are some the actually target fat, so the answer there is yes. there are others that simply boost your metabolism. it all depends on what product you choose.
