food and sleep are good.
quick is not a word often used when refering to muscle gain.

start with:
  • whey protein
  • multiple vitamin
  • EFA's
  • Creatine

that is all.

Branched Chain Amino Acids work pretty well for me. I even remember Frank Shamrock saying that they and protein are two of the best supplements to take. In my training, I've been advised against Creatine while I'm cutting down, to allow my body to handle things on its own. Creatine will probably be added down the road though.

I also agree with Prince on the EFA's, although I just make sure to get my Omega 3's (usually a Fish oil supplement), and the Multi-Vitamins (you have to have proper nutrition to grow and vitamins help to facilitate this).

Agreed,

Maybe throw some BCAA's in there too, they never killed anyone.

Now, go to the diet and training section, and dont come back here until you're huge

Wow dude, back off, your really on my case

I guess your gonna scold me on how much better whey is than egg. Even though egg has a higher p.e.r. and virtually no cholesterol. I guess im off my rocker here too. Getting 60mgs of cholesterol 4 times a day as long as you get 23gms of protein everytime is okay? Hell no it aint, whey was made because it was a cheap by product....supplement companies marketed it as it was the next coming of cypionate....and it worked....now...big huge food companies are buying whey for their food products and the supplement companies are standing in line, getting shafted and having to raise their prices to ridiculous levels. Whatever, you guys keep buying that cholesterol ridden overpriced garbage...ill stick with egg.

im out

Please explain to me the problem with Cholesterol?

Unless you are predisposed to high cholesterol levels, then there is no worries. So stop spreading main-stream media BS.

That and I haven't seen any egg protein prices anywhere close to the same price as whey.

Optimum Nutrition "ON" 2lb Egg

2lb egg from "ON" is now virtually the same price as there Whey protein.....by the end of the year i guarantee whey will be higher. Look dude...im just trying to help people save some money and also get better results. I thought thats what these forums were for, not to push an agenda. You obiviously have some sort of interest in seeing people continue to spend money on overpriced whey protein.

Let me just say...if you guys would like a good alternative protein...why dont you try egg protein. If you dont feel the need to switch, dont...thought i was helping. Your wallet will thank you for it, so will your cardiovascular system. Go get your cl levels checked, pre disposed or not....its gonna all that cholesterol is gonna add up...and its usually bad!

Do you know the role of Cholesterol in the body?

Again Cholesterol is not the villian, for Heart disease. Shitty Fats, and lack of cardiovascular health are the culprit.

100% egg

Vitalabs 100%Egg 2lb 17.95 ON 100%2lb is $18.95.....fixing to go higher. Are you not admitting the price increase in whey...its when up of 40% the since spring.

As far as the role of cholesterol in the body, no, I guess I would be lying if I said I knew its exact role in the body. I do know that how each body metabolizes is different....and that prodominantly most Americans have a problem metabolizing hence the enormous heart disease problem in America. And yes, its probably due to lack of cardivascular exercise, but you have to also than attribute diets high in cholesterol as a contributor. Okay, so, do all people who use whey protein do Cardio vascular training? If the answer is yes, well than i dont have any arguement at all, but if the answer is some do and some dont than maybe whey protein could cause some cholesterol problems down the line.

You are obiviously an intelligent person and I dont mean to come off as a brash...but not everything is black and white...there are grey areas...and if i believe egg protein is better, i thought i had the right to express my self.

look forward to your response

I have no problem with Egg protein, but the way you are vilifying whey is where I am raising issues. Granted the Whey prices have been extreme, but if you follow any industry you have seen dramatic increases in raw products, cause of the development of China.

I fully admit there are grey areas.

There are many factors that contribute to the Hearth Disease Problem. Lack of EFA's, consumption of too many sat fats, trans fats, lack of exercise, overeating in general. In some Cholesterol can be a problem but the majority not likely.

I agree that egg white ptotein is a great source, and if wallet permitting you should use it. the protein fractions in egg white proteins are absorbed quickly just like whey and they even have high levels of the AA cysteine.. and on the average, egg white contains more cysteine than the most whey proteins. Not to mention the low heat treatment means involved, means low denaturation and better absorption

However the best protein for the price is still whey.. so the whole argument of

is worthless. Egg is a great protein, and you can use it.. but it costs quite a bit more than whey still and it isnt beneficial from a cost perspective IMO

Our bodies make cholesterol in the liver. Cholesterol has three basic functions in the body:

1. It is one of the fats in every cell membrene that allows for membrane fluidity

2. It is the precursor of vitamin D

3. It is the precursor of ALL the steroid hormones in the body, testosterone, estrogen and progesterone

If our cholesterol levels fall too low, people have a tendency to violence, suicide........................................... .
