Blended protein question

I know there are several threads that already touch base on this topic, but I didn't want this to get ignored or lost in the masses.

Would it be enough to get some casein (or anything else) from The Protein Factory and mix it with the whey I already have? If so, what do you suggest?

that would be fine but the next time you order some get:

40% casein, 20% egg white, 20% hydrolyzed whey and 20% milk protein...

Hey LAM, What about something to mix with the whey I already have? I use Optimum's 100% whey.

getting caesin from the PF would be fine to add to your whey, you could also add pastureized egg whites (the ones in the cartons) and fat free milk (1-2% is fine also)...

Yes, you can mix casein into the whey. My favorite blends contain micellar casein, whey, and egg albumin though.

OK, another stupid question from me. Where do you find all these different kinds of protein and can you buy one brand that contains all of the above???

Most companies have a blended protien (Optimums Pro Complex {though no casein} and Labradas ProV60 are two that come to mind ) and a lot, if not most MRP`s are blends.

Hey Lean,

I'm thinking of buying straight protein powders from the Protein Factory and blend my own as I use them. I will use Optimum's 100% whey as the base and add other proteins as they are required. I've found most MRP's to be too expensive for the amount you get and I don't feel like paying for a plastic container each time with the other blends. I like the idea of ready-to-use blends, but my budget won't allow for that.

-Pro Peptide...Dorian
-Pro Fusion...Musclelink
-Protein Plus...Met Rx
-Advanced Protein...Biotest (good milk protein...no egg or whey I believe though)

Yes it does...I was just listing straight protein powders, not MRPs. The same companies I listed also have MRPs with the same protein blend as their straight proteins.

GP, have you ever tried or know if Pro M3 by ISS Research is a reputable brand.
I'm thinking about buying this stuff and it contains all 3 protein powders you mentioned.
