energy question?
Hello everyone, just joined forum. I am a former professional athlete that has a bit of experience in strength training. I've taken too much time off, recently gotten back into lifting (3 months now) and I'm really getting back into the saddle. I'm 6'8", currently 260 lbs. (started at 280 lbs.) can actually see my abs, pecs, arms and shoulders really starting to pop. According to my 17 year-old daughter I'm starting to look hot, according to her boyfriend I'm a monster (which is exactly what I want him thinking LOL).
Supplementation includes - Myozene Ultra shakes 3 times a day, creatine (creapure) maintenance 7g/day, Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold immediately after workout and I should be receiving today my first order of Maximum Pump for pre-workout supplementation. I workout almost everyday, here is the cycle: Day 1, chest & back; Day 2, arms & legs; Day 3, shoulders; repeat. I've been working pretty hard, blasting each muscle group I'm working on. I cardio and ab everyday. I'm on a high protein - low carb diet during the week. On the weekends I bring the carb consumption up to equal my grams of protein intake. This is working wonders on dropping weight and adding lean muscle. Now the questions: I'm having a difficult time consuming enough grams of protein during the day while at work, any tips? Secondly, I'm tired. Maybe I'm just an old fart now, I don't know. Am I overworking? Not getting enough carbs during the week? Should I add some magnesium supplementation to my diet or something else? I want to fall asleep at my desk every afternoon and I'm getting plenty of sleep during the night. Any help will be greatly appreciated! |

i didnt see a carb source post workout which is important.
ideas for getting protein at work, some raw nuts, jerky, cottage cheese, yogurt or an rtd. or just bring a shaker and some powder. the tiring might be from the low carb, you could add caffeine, but that is a qucik fix which wont work forever. maybe carb cycle? |
