I read that workouts (WO) interfere with the absorbtion of vitamins and they are therefore best taken 4 hours before or after a WO (Per Franco Columbu's Bodybuider's Nutrition Handbook.
However... The Animal Pak package says to take them 30minutes after meal before WO.
Which is best/correct?

yea im confused on when i should take my animal pak..
wed-friday i work and have to get up early in the morning. wednesdays and fridays are also my workout days so i get up at 3:30 in the morning, take N.O Xplode and Nitrix as soon as i wake up. workout, have creatine, then 3 scoops of TrueMass protein, then have a meal about 45 mins to an hour later. animal pak says 30 minutes after the meal prior to my workout...well..i dont have a meal prior to my workouts on wednesday and friday so its like hm..wtf should i do? heh
the best thing to do regarding vit.and mineral supps. is to keep them in your body thru out the day.
i take and have always taken. all my water sol. type supps.3 times a day early am mid day and evening then im sure the stuff is in me all the time.
your always going to hear things that seem to be contrary to what your doing.in this case in a simple vit. min. supp. you cant go wrong.as long as its in you.
3 times a day eh? what if youre multi-vitamin is animal pak tho? O.o that'd be A LOT of pills for 3 times a day you know. it says to take 2 packets a day if youre doing intense training or something like that, but im a small guy and all so i never take 2 packets a day. what multi-vitamin are you taking emf?
to goob - oh is that so? sweet, i havent been dehydrated in a real long time then. someone at gnc told me if my pee was yellow that meant the animal pak was doing what it was supposed to do. i had a feeling he was wrong, though
ill just keep my mouth shut about the multi your taking they have a real good rep and i have taken some of their products.
im taking now brand good vits and mins. but your supp. is prob. better .
im one not to say anything if im not sure.
i wouldnt take it 3 times a day. regular vits and mins are different to what they put in the supp your taking.
also the post on dehydration is totally wrong or ive been dehydrated every day for the last 20 years.
The important thing is that you consistently take them. With meals is best as it should improve absorption. If you were taking other supplemental vitamins like E or C I would take them seperate of those as they may compete for absorption with your multi.
