    Help with these sleep supplements

Just a little history for about 7 years i have had major sleep problems mostly staying asleep. I sometimes are up 7times a night which can be very frustrating

I have been on Ambein 10mg for 4 years helped alot for a while but in the last year my sleep problems are as bad as ever

I have been looking at these 2 supps X-DREAM by IBE and ZMK by Millenium.

My question is has anybody used either and did they get results and if so which do you guys think would be the best one for me to get.

So any of you who have had problems sleeping know how very frustrating not to mention unhealty this can be so any help would be great

Yes i have no sleep apnea(not sure if spelled right)but no problems found they have had me on Ambein for years added Seroquel which got up to 900 mg but i am off that now was not happy with the fact that i was put on a anti-pys for sleep along with the fact that it cost over $600 a month for that i have insurance but anybody that type of $$$ for a drug that is not even FDA approved for that purpose is silly. I need to buy stock in these pharm companies

I did a little googling on both and even though I usually look at most supps as little more than snake oil I would say risk a hundred and try a bottle of each.
I found a mention of them at bodybuilding.com so you might check their supp section and this report at AM.
    ZMK sample review

Hope it gets better, I had the sleep apnea until I lost tons of weight and got back into bodybuilding form. I would be so sleep deprived that I would fall asleep anywhere. Even Driving.

You might also try to find another sleep specialist, I had one cardioligist diagnose me with all kinds of heart problems and there was nothing wrong with me. Always get lots of other opinions

Its not silly. I battled my entire life with sleep problems. Since I was probably 12 my natural sleep cycle was staying up for 48 hours then sleeping 20. I had to run my body into the ground before I could actually sleep.

I have taken 10mg Ambien for 5 years. After 4 years, it stopped working, so my mother urged me to have a sleep study done. My neurologist concluded that the chemical transmitters in my brain that control sleep do not function properly and put me on 500mg Seroquel stacked with 10mg Ambien. It transformed my life. To get 8 hours of sleep every night was one of the best things to ever happen to me.

Over the summer I turned 25 and my parent's insurance would no longer cover me, and my new insurance with my job refused to pay for my medication. Seroquel jumped up to $700 a month for me.

I found the same medication in a 2 months supply at a Canadian online pharmacy for $200. That is basically a $100 a month for me, and worth every fucking penny. Canada basically said "fuck you" to American pharmaceutical companies and made a generic form of Seroquel (Quetiapine). The shit is dirt cheap and works exactly the same as the brand name stuff.

Currently I am taking each night:
    400mg Seroquel
    10mg Ambien
    9mg Melatonin

I sleep like a baby, and feel like a champion the next day. Don't let the fact that Seroquel is a anti-psychotic detour you from taking it if it works. Seroquel changed my life. My only fear is if it ever stops working I will be in a world of shit again.

I see no reason not to try alternatives first, but if your condition is similar to mine, none of that other shit will work, and you will come running to the wonderful sweet sleep that Seroquel provides.

Not having sleep, then getting it - is like a miracle.

I wear earplugs and have some white noise in the background (like a fan), those things I rely on heavily. I also do my best to keep a regular sleep schedule.

I haven't really found simple things like melatonin to help much. 5HTP I've tried and I can't give conclusive results for that one either. Right now I'm trying ZMA to see if that helps me feel more 'rested' in the mornings. I'm not big on relying on drug solutions long term, don't like the idea of dependancy OR what it does to the body. Once a week is a big difference than every day of ones life.

    Good luck

If you can find something that works OTC, then wonderful, more power to you. But some situations aren't that simple. I couldn't imagine a diabetic saying they refuse to inject insulin because it isn't natural to do so. Medical science has given a second chance at life to people with genetic defects. It is insane to not capitalize on that.

I take trileptal it works good for me and is cheaper. I have risperdal but it gives me a hangover like most antipsychotics do so I have it but have not needed to take it for over a year or two.

trileptal has a generic now to it just came out so it should be a lot cheaper

Thanks for all the response hey Kelju i have Melatonin but on bottle says do not take with a sedative whicj Ambein is do you have any problems in combining the 2? As for my silly response it had not to do with taking seroquel it had to do with the price i am glad you found it cheaper in Canada but even at $100/mo still alot of $$$ plus i hear that they will be cracking down on drugs from Canada god know that these pharm companies are not making any money. The other problem i have with it is the damn doctors prescribing the stuff for which it is not FDA approved for i know this happens with a lot of drugs but with these A-TYPICAL anti-phys drugs it being done because it lines the pockets of drug companies and doctors can you spell KICK BACKS

My neurologist is my hero. I trust him with my life. The guy knows his shit, plus Seroquel was a last ditch attempt after 5 years of unsuccessful tries by other doctors. Canadian drugs are 100% legal and safe. Remember, Canada has socialized medicine, plus they do not have to yield to our patent laws. It cost pennies to make Seroquel, but the American pharmaceutical companies are using drugs like Seroquel to fund their research into future drugs.

I think its alot better then ambien that is habit forming or a benzodiazepine that is even worse. It would suck to have to go to rehab when you were not trying to get fucked up your docter just gave you pills to make you sleep.
