    What to take together

I've been trying to decide what supplements to take together. This is generally my first time, but I have experimented with some in the past.

My current choice of supplements is NO XPlode for pre workout for pumps and bigger lifts, and then I can't decide if I want to take true mass or syntha-6 as my post work out supplement. True mass is high in calories and protein and syntha-6 is lower in calories and protein but on the site I use it is recommended to take with NO xplode. Is there some reason for this? I want to take whatever is gonna work well together so I could use opinions on it.

Do you think true mass and NO xplode would be the best combo?

Do you have a combo that you think will work better?

Keep in mind I work out 3-4 times a week and want to gain weight. I am currently doing full body work outs but may switch to 5 day split routine.

Do you think it matters whether I do split or full body work outs if I want to gain weight on those supplements?
Which do you prefer? full body or split for gaining weight?

Since this is your first post, it would benefit all if you could provide your body stats. And welcome to the boards. John

what you want post workout is carbs and protein, around 30g of each. i dont know if you are aware, but other companies exist outside of bsn that make products for just this purpose. check out ON's Recovery 2:1:1

Sounds just like the advert! I got given almost a full tub of the fruit punch flavour for free, cos one of my mates was in a car wreck and couldnt train, so he gave me all his supps and shit. I found it to do nothing for me. I looked at the prices in the shops and thought that it was expensive shit as well. I took a couple scoops, then 3 and still nothing really. I was already taking Tri creatine malate, mixed with 8oz of juice.

Im not saying its crap, but it did bugger all for me. Have you tried training without this product?

The syntha-6 i can understand, To my knowledge it is a protein powder.
Since you are new here, I would reccommend that you read the stickies in every forum. They are invaluable.

Good luck with your training goals

I'm 5'8 150lb, no fat to me, and generally speaking for 150 I'm muscular. my motabulism is through the roof and according to some couculator I need to consume at lesat like 2500 calories just to get by, and each day I try to eat at least 3000 good calories and try to manage in 100-150 grams of protein though I can't tell you the specifics on that because I actually don't eat that much because of my meal plan here at college only allows me two meals a day. Next semester however I will be able to eat a lot mroe and thats when I'll start to use the supplements, when I can eat well.

I've used NO Xplode before, and it did help me work out more, kicking my dumbbell bench press from 60 to 70 lbs but now I'm back to 65 after not useing it for a long time so it does help me, so i plan on useing it again i just dont know what to take with it that works best. If I took it now I'd probably be able to kick my dumbbell bench press to like 75 or so for 6 or 7 reps based on how much it helped me before so I'm just trying to find some goo post workout supplement to go with it. or if you have some other pre workout booster that helps you lift more that you enjoy with some other combination like I said let me know

I'm also curious about Gakic. Anyone ever use it with any good results?

I've actually decided against syntha-6. But I found a new supplement that sounds good, has some good reviews but also some bad ones. Muscle Juice 2544 has 1000 calories and 55 g of protein, but hte only thing is that it is extremely high in sugar. So Now I'm torn between that and true mass. True mass has less cal and protein but also much less in sugar. Does the sugar effect fat gain that much? One review said so long as you put in 4-5 good hard training days you'll only see muscle growth, does everyone else believe that's true?
