Total Noob Here, Question About Creatine

Hey I'm new to the whole supplement thing so I don't have a lot of info. I'm looking to get bigger and I've been taking Star Six Whey Protein, but I've been looking to start to take the same brand Creatine. Would creatine be better for me to take? And should I get the pills or the drink mix, and is there any major side effects involved with creatine?

    Thanks for any help

Use both. Have a protein shake in between meals and after your workout. Use creatine monohydrate powder. It's cheaper and just as effective as any of the fancy esters and buffered creatines on the market. Mix it in your shake after your workout. There is no need to load creatine either. Take 5-10g everyday. There are also no side effects to creatine. The only thing you may notice is an increase in creatinine levels in your urine because creatine breaks down to that compund after digestion. This is not a worry as long as you are drinking enough water.
    This aint my first rodeo.
