How are you taking it? Are you letting some of it dissolve before drinking it?

Some people are more sensitive to it than others.

-make sure it is fully dissolved before swallowing
-don't take more than 5 grams at a time
-if it is still happeneing after a few weeks, switch to "titrated" creatine

Or switch to a brand that has the "Creapure" (SKW Labs) or "PF" (Pfanstiel) logo on the bottle!

What causes gastro-intestinal upset is the leftover dihydrotriazine, dicyanamide, creatinine, and sodium. This occurs in poorer grades of creatine. Switching to a German made or German raw material creatine usually solves the problem!

Diarrhea is often misdiagnosed. It's often the body's reaction to dehydration. Creatine volumizes muscle by over-hydrating the tissue. Because of this, the rest of the body can suffer from dehydration.

Before anything else, I'd increase your water intake.

If you just started taking it, it might be something else. You could have got a mild case of food poisoning among a few other things.
(Most people tend to think it was something they just ate, when alot of it is something they ate within the last 36 hours or so).

Also, if you are loading it, you may want to stop and just take 5mg a day and see if that helps.

Yes that sounds like your problem that happened to me my 1st creatine cycle. Also are you taking any protien powders? That has been known that some powders give people such reactions.

Regardless of whether it is SKW creatine or not, it can still cause gastro stress. Undissolved creatine will draw tremendous amounts of water into the gut which will cause all kinds of problems in the sensitive individual. Also, very little of the standard 5 gram dose will be absorbed. A titrated creatine will dissolve fully and be completely absorbed.

How much are you taking? I never get the shits from it, but if I take too much creatine in one day, I get gas. The wife almost had to throw me out of the house a few times!

I FART & POOT all over the place when on creatine, but I think is caused from the oatmeal I eat every day. I'M a non-stop farting machine until I hit the bowl after work. Let it dissolve completely & I think you will get used to it. The stomach problems may just be a reaction from your body because you put something new / foreign into it. I recommend that if yoU do any bodybuilidng to make sure to get off it 2 weeks from a show. just my 0.02 cents

Never say never & never give up. There is ALWAYS someone worse off than you !

I have the same problem whenever I start taking it, it'll probably stop after a couple days to a week, like the others said, up your water intake will probably help.

Cool

You want to have zero problems...use TITRATED creatine by Muscle Link or IDS...it is absorbed beautifully!
