    Protein Question

Hello i have a question about Protein..

I am in high school and everybody takes protein powder.. I am not allowed to take protein powder.. so i was doing some searching on how i can get 1 gram per pound of body weight.. I found several sites with how much ounces or grams of protein you get from any kind of food with a good source of protein

so, instead of taking protein powder, can i just get protein from the foods i eat.. i am 135lbs age 16.. I'm going for 130 - 145 grams of protein everyday from just foods..

would this be doing the same thing as protein powder?

I was also told there are metals in protein powder that are stuck in your body forever.. the metals come from all the processing of the powder itself.. is this true?

    THANK YOU
