    BCAA question

I'm new to the use of BCAAs. I never took them before and I have heard a lot of good things about them. I am currently in the middle of a hypertrophy phase, multiple sets of 8-10 yada yada...My diet hasnt changed, but I am noticing a 1lb gain every week since I started using them 3-4 weeks ago. None of the other factors have changed. I am using Xtend BCAAs, 3 scoops, pre and post. I measured my BF and it has stayed the same or went down.
Is it possible that the BCAAs are making me gain weight? It's the only thing I can really pinpoint. I know my diet is sound on straight on. My cardio consists of HIIT training 4x a week. This is starting to annoy me and I only want an answer, I feel kind of dopey asking such a stupid question.

could be the introduction of the leucine, but who knows. i always found bcaa's better during a cut, but there is some good research out there for it, especially leucine.

I don't think it's the BCAA that is making you gain weight.
I have been taking BCAA for nearly a month now and have seen no massive weight gain. It has given me more strength and I feel more tonned and ripped and feel like I can lift heavier weights, this caused me to gain about 2Kg in a month of lean muscle.
I take 6 reflex 3000mg pills in the morning with one 15mg of Zinc. Then on work out days, I drink 2 scoops of Xtend BCAA for each pre/during/post work out. And at night before bed, 15mg of Zinc and 6 reflex 3000mg pills.
I have been feeling much better since I started the BCAA and seeing results I have never seen with whey.

Well, not quite... I am what they call an Ectomorph, which means, I am skinny by nature and it is very hard for me to put on weight... I see people putting on 1Kg per week... now THAT'S massive...

I even considered steroids, but I am too afraid of the riscs involved...

I weigh 60Kg now... wanna get to at least 70Kg... so, the fight continues...
