Protein utilization question
BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com I have this stuff called pro 5 and its pretty expensive but its seven hour release with whey, casein, and egg albinum.... i take it after a workout and before bed.
I was wondering if i was to just eat some chicken before bed would i get the same amount of release time with meat protein while im sleeping? how long does meat protein get utilized in your system? Also should i just get some regular GNC whey and will i notice the same results? |

All of the protein's you have listed have different digestion rates. Whey is the fastest, Egg is moderate, and Casein is the slowest. Eating whole foods pre-bed isn't a bad choice at all. The chicken would probably empty by 2-3hrs. Something rich in protein and slow digesting like Cottage Cheese pre-bed would be a great choice.

Is chicken really broken down that quickly? I thought I heard that meats typically took at least 8 hours to break down.

Yes, it's broken down and emptied from the stomach that quickly, but it will still be absorbed throughout the course of the night.
