get a good training plan, get into calorie deficit. then get a good supplement to help you along your way. well after you get a good training plan.

i bet in the world you live in every one is a pony, eats rainbows, and craps butterflys.

read the stickies in the diet & nutrition forum.
in answer to your question, I have found that consistent exercise while in a state of caloric deficit to be the best route to fat loss.
(after reading the aforementioned stickies, you'll understand what that means)
However, if you are more concerned with weight loss rather than fat loss... I agree with jchappj, don't eat...
or better yet, get a good stomach virus. That'll make you lose weight everytime.
-seriously, read the stickies-

Welcome bro best thing is to get a good diet and training program and reading the stuff here will help you set up that type of program. What worked for me I was 310lbs 3 1/2 years ago and felt like I was going to die. I started to read stuff here and I started to eat clean stuff like chicken, turkey and cut the junk out.

I also found that eating more times a day like 5 or 6 meals at smaller portions helped raise my metabolism that along with lifting and cardio 4-5 times a week at 30 minutes per session is what worked. I am down to 244lbs and it was slow and steady and I feel so good now it is worth the hard work.

Please read up here and if you have questions feel free to ask

Whoops, sorry, I think I may have misunderstood your question; I just assumed you were talking about losing fat. If you are just going for weight, you can dehydrate yourself or simply cut off a limb.
