FDA seizes $1.3 million in supplements marketed for bodybuilders from Brighton warehouse - Latest from the Ann Arbor News - MLive.com

It is being said to have things not labeled on the bottle which would explain why some people swear gains from what appears by label to be garbage. If you want it get it while you can.

It was a big misunderstanding and had nothing to do with the product quality at all.. It was more bureaucratic BS then anything. But it's back on the shelf.

I wish the FDA would leave the supp industry alone and mind their own business.

because the products contain unapproved food additives or dietary ingredients that violate the law, according to a statement from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

That was the excuse they gave anyways but I believe they are just targeting LG for past stuff. It is a sad state of affairs

if you are going to sell products like this, with names like that, then you have to be prepared for some government action. i also heard a "rumor" that lg was preparing to release a transdermal product, which is not legal as it is considered a drug delivery system. add it up, and it isnt surprising.

Ways around that though. You can still get a carrier legal and mix it with powder.
    Just don't mix it together

Yep that with LG past, FDA is picking on them, plain and simple.

I know I'm going to get hated on here, but to some degree the government does need to step in on the supplement industry. I don't want them coming in and taking away ph's/DeS, however, some companies are decieptful or practice unethical business practices and the consumer doesn't always know what or how much of something they are taking. It's unfortunate that this is the case, but some companies will ruin it for the rest of us.

In some cases I might agree but unless there is some strong evidence of possible harm or violations of the law I think they should just stay out of it. I know thats not the case now. But the whole LG thing was blown way out of proportion seems like the feds have a hard-on to get them

Most definitely. I am mostly talkig of the fly by night companies. Consumers have the right to know what they are taking. I, for one, believe that ALL supplements should be legalalized. I wasn't referring to what happened to LG in my prior post. I just feel that the gov. should verify what is said to be in it, is actually in it, that is all.

I do want to know what is in the product and then make my own decision about it. Did IDS get in trouble for something similar?

Yes, that is true. And unfortunately that is the way it is in life too. There is always a very small minority that is more than willing to fuck things up for everyone else.
