    BSN Price Increases

I got this on an email flyer from a supplement company:

Gas, food, everything seems to be going up in price these days!

Especially protein! It's been steadily going up since last Spring mainly due to the cost of feeding cattle since more corn is being allocated for Ethanol production.

Now BSN is increasing its prices as their production and material costs have risen significantly.

This should mean about a $2 to $5 increase in various BSN products no matter where you get them from.

Price changes are supposed to go into effect August 1. I can't confirm or deny, just passing it along for your info...

Yes BSN prices are increasing, effective August 1st... They have to find a way to pay for there massive advertising on the UFC.. I don't know if you guys saw the pay per view about a month ago or so.. But their logo was in the Octagon. They are now the official supplement sponsor for the UFC.. Gotta pay for it some how.

Xyience was really overpriced, but they had to pay for all that sponsorship. They were sponsoring some of the big time MMA guys from UFC.. Chuck Lidell naming one.

They are very good at what they do. They are keeping focused on a few main products and not trying to come up with a supplement to fit into every nutritional category. Xyience lost focus and tried to come out with everything they could to sell to customers. Vitamins was one out of many that just didn't make god business since. Leave that stuff up to NOW Health Foods.

If BSN ever started selling vitamins and joint care, I would be baffled. But on the other though, now they sponsor UFC, they may need something to give to the sore fighters. I can almost see this "joint care" working though

I guess I should cancel my whey protein product as well, and leave that up to XYZ company?

I agree it's borderline ignorant to sell a vitamin if it was as overpriced as the rest of their product line. Their are so many options out there.

Protein is a different story. Stay away from vitamins and miracle pills.
