    what's best for me

    hi all,

just starting out in this and i'd appreciate any help you could offer. i'm 6' 4" 200lbs and want to get down to 190lbs, and to tone and increase muscles.
i started out this time last year and went crazy at my local drug store, then gave up when it got hard.... taking it seriously this time, and want to know what of what i bought i should take!
    i'm now taking:
    1. hydroxycut hardcore on two week cycles (not the 3 twice daily, only 2 twice daily as they send me crazy and i can't sleep with the recommended dosage!)
    2. l-glutamine
    3. creatine caps - on workout days - should i use everyday?
    4. zma - same as creatine above

i've read that you should take glutamine with creatine as they fight for absorption. should i take hydroxycut hardcore on its own, or is it ok taking it with other supplements?

also... views on protein shakes? i'm working out 3 times a week, soccer training twice a week and some running in between.

many thanks for your help guys,

    paul

    Thumbs up

You've got a very good foundation to start with. Take your creatine as nni said. eat a proper diet and do your thing in the gym. You may want to supplement with a good protein shake. My advice leave the drug stores supps. alone, and buy from SB.

thanks alot guys, i really appreciate the advice. i spoke to my mate and he's on (i think this is what it's called) 'no xplode'.
also, am i right in saying that if i am going to eat crap food (junk) i should do it after a workout cos it will break down quicker, or is that the time to be eating right, replenishing energy with tuna and a potato for example?
    cheers again

from my experience no xplode is great if you're looking for bulking, it def helps with size...but I was told that it is dangerous to use supps such as hydroxy when using a no product because one product is increasing blood flow while the other actually works to somewhat counter that increase...correct me if I'm wrong though...

no-xplode will do absolutely nothing for size.

stims and NO boosters never made sense together, never knew why people did it that way.

i'm ditching the hydroxycut this week, got 5 days left this cycle so i'll see it out, then get on the xplode.
i'd love the drive that it can give me, i've seen how focused my mate now is down the gym on no xplode, but i don't want to add bulk. i want to increase my fitness and to get more muscular, but i don't want to get big... does that make sense?!
maybe xplode isn't for me then

mcguin, not quite sure what you mean with 'no-xplode will do absolutely nothing for size', doesn't that contradict your first sentence?
i get what you mean about taking the two at the same time. same sort of thing as vodka and red bull, one slows your heart down and the other speeds it up.... very dangerous!

again, thanks for the advice. just trying to get the feel for what's right for me. i'm happy staying on creatine and a whey protein for now.

    paul

p.s. also, should i take no xplode just before each workout, or regularly twice daily for example? how about cv work? or just weight training?
