Thread: Synthrax Matrix 5.0

The cookies and cream and orange cream flavors are really good! The chocolate and vanilla are decent.

haha the flavors look really yummy, but i was more interested in the quality of protein and if it's a post-workout shake kind of protein/ or more of going to sleep kind.

Trying to look it over and give you some info but don't know who makes it.

I use syntrax matrix (Vanilla). Taste wise its one of the best. Its my nighttime drink. The price on this thing varies widely depending upon where you buy it from. It contains very high quality protein sources such as egg, casein, and whey. They claim that they can keep their price low because they sell the 5 pounder in a plastic bag rather than a plastic can, so they save a lot of money on that. Some BM and online sell 5 pounds for as high as 55 bucks. But you can get it BELOW 39 bucks for the 5 LB vanilla if you do some google research or use shopwiki.com for search. The protein powders I have tried are listed in sequence of the most favorite to the worst.

1. AllTheWhey Protein Isolate (the BEST).
2. Syntrax Matrix (very tasty)
3. Muscle Milk (chocolate), I was surprised I liked it. But too pricey.
4. Dymatize 12 hour elite whey protein.
5. EAS premium whey (you get this in costco - 27 grams of protein WOW)
6. ON Gold Standard, Vanilla Ice cream flavor. Was very disappointed with the flavor. I think there is a great hype on this product.
7. Prostar Whey Protein (the worst, tastes like water)

this has been around for a long time. its a protein blend, i just dont support companies that sue consumers over voicing their opinions.

Matrix 5.0 is from Syntrax the makers of Nectar. Mixes great, tastes great, doesn't taste as good as Syntha6 but i thinks it's a better value.
