most weight gainers are protein and a ton of carbs, usually from malto which isnt a good source. i would recommend a gainer that has oats, or a similar source of carbs. isogainer is a good one, or you could just make your own.

Well if you are looking into gaining some weight, I would say try taking creatine and whey protien as supplements. It works for many.

However, having said that, taking these supplements alone may not give you the best results. You may have to do some muscle building exercises and change your nos. of meals i.e incresing to 5-6 meals per day to see optimal results. basically, for you to gain weight, you have to consume sufficient foods to provide sufficient calories in exceed of your Basal metabolic rate !

    good Luck!

Why not just eat more? I think you should log all your calories in at FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal -- you'll see where you're deficient. You probably need both calories AND protein. And quality fats from fish, nuts, etc.

But if you're lazy and want to throw down some weight gainers between meals, check out Universal's Gain Fast 3100 - the price per gram of protein is ridiculously good, and I've heard decent things about it. I'll PM you a link.

And amino acids and creatine and whey protein supplementation are great as well.
