    Help with dosing amounts

hi- i started taking a few herbal suppliments in combination which i read about at M&F.com, 9 FAT-FIGHTING SUPPLEMENT COMBOS - Nutrition - Muscle and Fitness particularly caffeine+green tea extract, and forslean+l carnitine because of their metabolic effects. i figured that this approach might give me more insight on what was working, and what was not, with out taking a typ thermogenic like xenadrine or hydroxycut, which i am sceptical of. i have been changing my diet habits for about 45 days to eat more frequent meals with better p/c/f ratios. i started out only doing cardio, and recently have begun a weights routine ontop of this. now i am taking a protien supp. to compliment the extra work i am putting in at the gym.
my goal is to shed bodyfat, to have a leaner physique. i would love to have the muscular definition i enjoyed while playing sports in school, and thought suppliments might help me get back to shape faster.

the question i have, background info aside now, is about the dosing amounts of the herbal supps. anyone else taking these? i have been gradually building up doses to 200mg caffeine, 500mg GTE, 50mg forslean and 500mg carnitine.
the article i read suggested higher amounts of carnitine (1-3g) and similar for the GTE taken at breakfast, pre and post workout daily. this seems like alot more than i am used to taking. has anyone had success with these and what amounts did you find worked best.
first post, sorry if it was long winded, thanks for any advice-
    j

im not so sold on carnitine, but everything else isnt bad on dosage.

forslean at too high a dose becomes a laxative.
