It says "In a 10-week human study,individuals using a key ingredient in Six Star Muscle Whey Protein increased their max bench by an average of 105 pounds". It calls this the average increase. I'll add some other bogus claims shortly. They make me laugh and mad at the same time.

This is one of Fizogen's big bs claims, though this product probably works as well as their other products. This alone proved they were out to scam consumers and I will never believe in any of their advertisemennts.

I read something (I think from Tom Venuto) that said companies make claims like that when they use one test subject and they them on a special diet, specific workout routine and that will result really skewed results then report that as "normal". He also said half the claims are complete BS

because there is no regulation of dietary supplements, and the companies that push the envelope with their bogus claims are going to fuck it up for everyone and ultimately the government will get involved and it will be a big mess and we will all suffer.

There's always some fitness and muscle magazines lying around on the table at my gym. The other day I picked one up while waiting on my lifting bud. I was amazed at the stupid pictures for some of the fat burning supps. The before and after photos had be splitting a gut. I mean who can't actually tell that the guy in the before picture is sticking his belly out and looking as fat as he possibly can while the after pic has him sucking everything in like he's about to implode? It's a joke, but there are plenty of youngsters at the gym that eat this stuff up.

The best is new muscletech Vapor add where Dexter Jackson claims he fully credits his olympia win to Vapor... and like that photographer from "Better Faster Stronger" said , most of those before and after photos are same day airbrushing masterpieces

All these companies make claims about products that are usually on a very small basis. Instead of conducting a trial a large group of people, which will give more realistic results, they test the products on a select number of people which skews the results.

It's like flipping a quarter, if you flip three times, you might land on heads all three or tails all three. But if you flip it 20 times, your more likely to get 10 and 10.

Plus all these claims are not health related, like cures cancer or something like that, they usually get dismissed. All these supplement companies can produce whatever they want, and its there responsibility to test products.

So until a product is proven harmful, and the FDA steps in to have the product removed from stores and people sue for damages they will keep producing products that have outrageous claims.

This is why i stick with the bigger companies and companies that have a respectable brand. Because there not willing to take the risk of having a product on the market that is harmful or is just a joke, because that will ultimately effect their brand.
