    Supps and Pregnancy

Can anyone give me some information or direct me with a link or something on what supps I can and can not have when pregnant?

I'm specifically interested in any information on thermogenics, green tea and then sub-info on protein drinks, protein bars and those of that nature.

Is there a certain amount of protein that gets into the "Too Much For Baby" category?

    Thanks for any info given.

My wife dropped everything while pregnant. With a baby you can't really be to cautious.

Here is a website to try.

My wife is currently pregnant. The doc should or will give you a list of medicine that you can take. As for protein shakes and bars, most of them also have vitamins and minerals. I remember the Doc telling my wife that she shouldn't go over a certain limit on most of the vitamins. So she quit taking her multi vitamin and nutritional drinks.
You have to take pregnancy vitamins that will give you the correct amounts of vitamins and minerals for you and your baby.

I've already dropped my fat burners, which by the way I was more than apprehensive to do ONLY BECAUSE I still have some weight to lose before I do get pregnant. But I don't want to take any chances so I've dropped them.

I drink Green Tea and coffee with more than regularity and I'm specifically interested in the effects or lack thereof....

You can drink Diet Coke, but apartame which is found in Diet Coke has been linked to birth defects. I made my wife quit drinking any diet products. She mainly drinks water or gatorade now. Also, as far as I know (and I've read alot of documentation regarding this) tea is fine during pregnancy. I would limit the caffeine though

I dropped the fat burners yesterday....no more......probably the reason I didn't get up and go to the gym this morning....LOL
    Just joking.

I have limited my coffee. I have barely a half a cup now, and I don't drink it every day anymore.

I have one or maybe one and a half diet cokes every week now. I really don't like all that sweetness, but I plan to completely eliminate them once I do get preggo.

Awww how cute.....little Princesses and little Fitgirls running all up and down the board!!!

Speakin' of cravings...you know what I craved with my first little boy? Do you remember those Enchiridos from Taco Bell? THe one that had all of those black olives on it? I had to have one of those, if not two, EVERY DAY!! And I always told them extra, extra, extra, extra black olives.
What was funny was that before I got pregnant, I hated olives......of ANY kind!!!

Caffeine (coffee, tea, or soft drinks) are fine to drink while pregnant. Just keep it limited to 1 a day. But as I stated above stay away from products containing aspartame. Also, there's more to drink than gatorade. Crystal Light, Kool-Aid, Fruit Juice etc that is fine to drink while pregnant. I was just stating my wife has been on a gatorade kick while pregnant. Also, speaking about cravings, she's been craving pork products all the time. She got up other night around 2 in the morning and cooked a pound of bacon and ate the whole thing.
