DICANA is a combination of amino acid metabolites first introduced by Ron Kramer, owner of Thermolife (pictured on the left wearing the orange headband!). Thermolife has some of the more innovative formulas out there and are always current with the newest ingredients on the market. DICANA is is designed to enhance protein synthesis and simultaneously increasing body temperature and oxygen consumption. This combination helps bodybuilders lose fat while sparing muscle tissue. It mat also be useful in supporting the body’s normal thyroid hormone production. The only two products that contain this ingredient that I’m aware of are BSN’s ATROPHEX and of course Themolife’s own DICANA product.

DICANA Patent Pending?

According to the website Criticalorie.com, Thermolife may be stretching it a bit with their claim that this compound is also patent pending. In fact, the folks down at Criticalorie.com searched the U.S. Patent Office and found out that there’s already a patent granted for a Diiodothyroacetic Acid Isomer (one of the components of DICANA). Now it is possible that DICANA could have a patent pending for a variation of Diiodothyroacetic Acid Isomer, but they found no listing of a patent pending for DICANA.
