    Weight Gain Shake and Diabetes

I have a weight gain shake with 50g malto and I take it nearly everyday (as your muscles need the nutrition not just on lifting days) and was wondering if this would be sufficient enough to make me prone to diabetes due to the large insulin spike? Or is this insulin spike just like taking a glass of milk or a cheesecake??

Btw I dont drink any soft drinks, I hate the taste of cakes & biscuits and sweets make me feel sick, so I dont really have much sugar intake during the day except for fruits.

I don't know if I am prone to diabetes either, because my grandmother on my dad's developed it at the age of 74 or something and she's the only person in the extended family that I know has diabetes.
