1. Losing fat or gaining muscle is all about your diet. Supplements can only help if your diet is in order. If you want to gain weight eat more, if you want to lose weight eat less.

2. Generally a rule of thumb is 1g per 1lb of bodyweight. A protein supplement can be helpful reaching this amount but is not essential.

3. Don't structure your training program around body parts, your body doesn't work that way. Focus on structuring your program around upper body, lower body, pushes, and pulls.

Honestly, i would take some time reading the stickied threads in this section and the diet/nutrition section. They are the threads that are permanently at the top of the list.

All the information you'll need at this stage should be found there. After you've read and understand them, if you still have questions about details feel free to ask, but i would make those threads your first port of call.

Any whey isolate, you could try our brand or ATW those are the only two I enjoy and would recommend.

If you're lactose intollerant, Isopure Whey protein is excellent!

Regarding Protein:
The important thing is to get enough protein (1 gram per lb as mentioned), and most of it should come from food. Protein supplements are just a convenient way to ad some extra.
