    FDA: On the Attack

WASHINGTON— FDA has received a consent decree from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, Southern Division, to destroy prohormone products worth $1.3 million. The decree included more than 23,300 bottles of three products distributed by LG Sciences LLC, of Brighton, Mich., marketed for use by body builders and distributed on the Web and at retail under the names “Methyl 1-D,” “Methyl 1-D XL,” and “Formadrol Extreme XL.” On behalf of FDA, U.S.Marshalls seized the products back in early April 2008, but the company was fighting the action, saying the products were DSHEA-compliant.

FDA said lab tests showed the products, which were marketed as dietary supplements, contain one or more unapproved food additives and/or new dietary ingredients (NDIs) and lacked scientific support for safe use. They found Methyl 1-D and Methyl 1-D XL contained 1,4,6-androstatriene-3,17-dione, also known as “ATD” or 1,4,6-etioallocholan-dione; Formadrol Extreme XL contained ATD and 3,6,17-androstenetrione, also known as “6-OXO”—the substance at the center of the legal battle between suspended Phillies pitcher J.C. Romero and several supplement makers and retailers.

FDA stated both of these substances are steroids that inhibit the activity of the enzyme aromatase; they can be found in dietary supplements marketed as testosterone boosters. Also, 6-OXO was created by Patrick Arnold, the chemist behind many of the BALCO products involved in the Major League Baseball steroid scandal, which involved Barry Bonds and other key players.

    Nice

Do you think this happened because LG was so intent upon upholding their "Prohormone" image, they may have pushed their marketing so hard that they falsly advertised their newly banned product. The real kicker is that that there product (in my opinion) is overpriced and for the most part weak.

I guess common sense would tell you or me that since we were targets before we might want to show some discretion in the way we market or even sell our new product. When things like this happen it's almost like throwing the whole industry under the bus.

I personally believe this is the beginning of the end for most of the "gray area" supplements on the market.

I suggest going to Discount bodybuilding supplements from BSN and other leading brands on sbmuscle.com right now and buying every SD,PP,HALO and TREN compound you can find and stocking up because it's a matter of time guys until it's gone. And alot of people will wait until everyone knows it's going to happen and then you'll have little chance to find any of it.Not a sales pitch,I'm serious. I think everyone that knows me knows I experiment with PH's alot and have guys comparing it to alot of different things and many prefer it over alot of banned substances and people can dispute it all they want but there are so damn good products out.

    Buy these while you can
    Xtreme Tren-XXL 100 Caps
Tri Bolic Triple Threat Anabolic 60caps Stronger than Decabolen(IN STOCK)
Fast Action SDROL 60tabs (Superdrol Clone)
Competitive Edge Labs H-Drol - Halodrol clone 60 caps
Competitive Edge Labs M-Drol - Superdrol clone 90 caps
EVERY BOTTLE YOU CAN GET OF Competitive Edge Labs P-Plex - Phera Plex 90 caps; 10 mg per cap
    A personal favorite G.E.T. SUS-500 60 SOFTGELS

If you stock up on some of these then you will be fine and in no need of anything else to make gains when everyone else is back to creatine.

Yeah, but I think they are going to get more aggressive now...and as well, they are even calling suicide aromatase inhibitors "steroids!"

the thing that I see as ignorant is that those aren't even real PH methyl 1d is basically dhea and 6oxo ,I mean honestly aren't there more likely candidates for them to worry about banning - there was a 2 part special report by one of the major news agencies about a month ago on extreme tren due to high school age kids taking it ,they had it tested and said it came up hot for 2 steroid compounds .I'm sure that didn't help the situation

Of course, time will tell. As long as they never go after aminos, creatine, beta alanine, vitamins/minerals, and EFA's I will be happy.

    ???

I still find B-6 on the shelves at Wal-Mart and other places. Also was this ban really about the actual substances or was it about a company not disclosing the nature of the product correctly on it's labels and/or in it's advertising? I can tell you that 6-OXO doesn't make any claims anywhere as to the greatness of the product, LG probably has spent more on advertisments than Ergopharm has profited from 6-OXO.

I'm sure this ban decision was probably made by an overweight bureaucrat that knows nothing about PHs, steroids, training, or nutrition.

No gym for home, work out floor with 30, but is it for 20 like 30 lb when you no lift it to be for men, for 30 lbs instead? or half is 10 for 20 pounds?
