I recently was prescribed a testosterone "troche" daily for TRT. The troche is dosed at 50mg Testosterone per dose. I have been taking them for approximately 6 weeks. I'm not sold on them, as I'd rather just take a once a week shot, but am at least glad the Doc finally prescribed something. I haven't been back for bloodwork yet to see what the status is currently. My question is how comparable is this form of trt to say 200mg a week of cypionate? Obviously the delivery system is different with one being a slow sustained release, and one being a daily fatser delivery. I'd rather take the shot for a couple reasons and am going to approach the Doc at my next lab test to see if he will allow a shot. Mainly because its a once a week task, and because my insurance will cover it if it is not a compounded prescription. Anybody have any thoughts or input on it?
Well, can anybody say how long it would take for my levels to get back to normal and/or crash if I quit taking them? These troche do not list anything in the compound other than "50 mg Testosterone" so I assume it is pretty much a suspension that should only be in the system for several hours, unlike an estered compound? Anybody have any info on this? I've got another appt in three weeks and would rather have some ammunition to help get the shot of cypionate prescribed. Thanks.
