Shepard Smith Calls Out "More and More Frightening" Fox E-mailers

Sounds a lot like the type of things the posters say here.

Pretty good reporting. Not bad, fox. I'm impressed.

Shep and Huckabee are the best on that network. I like Shep because he tells it like it is and Huckabee because he is the politician whose views are most similar to mine.

Not to kiss your ass Dale but I usually agree with your opinions...except for your taste in sports team and the gayness.

I'll look into these two.

I didn't know you were gay, but should have assumed so with you being a Jets fan.

It's the other stuff.

the questioning of a presidents policies? not really new. Washington is famous for saying I now know what it is like to be unpopular.

They are scared feeble minded individuals who can't come to terms with the threat of .....oh my god.......change!

Fear has caused an irrational explosion of paranoia, fear of economic collapse, fear that a half breed might succeed in turning things around......it's all seeded by fear.........and these are the dangerous types who think it's ok to push a weak old woman around and zap her with stun guns because she copped an attitude and threatened their masculinity, or what little they have....

Did you see the youtube video?

I watched the damn thing twice to see what the fuss is all about. other than the part of a guy killing an abortion doc its just normal rhetoric. we have heard the same stuff against bush. big deal its old.

i don't like a lot of the things that obama is doing, but we have to see what happens.

Funny. When hundreds or thousands of people in the blogosphere say W is an idiot and a cowboy who knows nothing about foreign policy, the media goes with it. When hundreds or thousands of people in the blogosphere say Obama is a socialist, the media calls it hateful.

I don't give a damn whether you call it socialism (collectivism may more accurate), but what is going to go on in the next 4 years WILL be unprecedented, and it will change America for ever, and people are scared. I don't think its hateful or dangerous to put a semi-accurate label on it and say you don't like it.

In fact, the most dangerous thing about it is the media dissuading political dissent.

People don't want to spend more money on entitlements. People don't want Canadian or European quality health care. People don't want a President firing the CEO of one of the biggest private businesses in America and appointing a new board of directors and pushing for enviromental micro-cars that nobody wants and then telling us the fucking bullshit about 'I don't want to run a car company.' Banks and private businesses are being nationalized and money is being burned literally faster than we can print it and inflation is going to skyrocket. North Korea is launching missles over Japan and Russia is remerging as a world super power and State sponsors of terrorism are doing everything they can to get their hands on a nuke, meanwhile the American media and liberal elite are still recovering from the national orgasm over the skin color of the President.

Exactly. With the way Palin was treated, I won't even listen to this trumped up shit.

:roflmao: One comment against some right wingers & you're suddently impressed with fox for good reporting.

The only retort because I am right, Clemson even said in his own post "it will change America for ever, and people are scared."

Fear is the number one killer of rational thinking and the right wing is known for it's over the top fear of any change and anything out of the ordinary. These are the guys who didn't want to get involved with Franklin, Jefferson, Washington and the other shitstirring revolutionaries because of the what if's and the threat of something new and different......If everyone thought like that we'd be greeting each other with cheerio! and having a cup'a tea every few hours with our bloody good chaps.....not that I have anything against the British culture I just embrace change for the possibilities....

I agree with some of this. I think things will change, but I don't think that many people are scared. What went on the last 8 years has pretty much everyone save for the far right clamoring for change. Health care is a problem. When you have as many people who don't have health insurance and as many who have to file bankruptcy because of it, something needs to be fixed. Do I believe you should tax the people who can afford it to pay for everyone else? Absolutely not. You are 100% correct on entitlements, we don't need any more and we need to fix the ones that we have. There can no longer be a safety net for people who have no intention of ever taking a job or using a condom to control pregnancy.

As for North Korea, thank Bush for spreading us too thin. We should be there cracking heads but Kim Jong Il know we can't so he can posture to get more $$$$ to shut up.

BTW, Clemson, are you on the Antsmarching forums? I saw someone with the same handle and wondered if it was you.

.

pretty hard to crack heads with an atomic power. even with our military not deployed to the middle east how do you go about handling North Korea militarily?

People who are paying attention and know a little bit about the economy are scared. People who have worked their whole lives to obtain a marketable skill and a solid job are scared. People who have done nothing with themselves and have voted purely to increase the number of services that are provided to them on someone else's dime don't give a damn.

I would agree with #1, but that has to do with the mess we are in and not healthcare reform. I don't think your second one has much merit. Why would someone who has a job, probably makes a decent living, and is easily employable be scared about giving healthcare to someone less fortunate. It may cut in to their pay a bit, but they will still be alright, the sacrifice they need to make will be insignificant. In the grand scheme of things this needs to be done. I don't agree with raising the taxes of someone who actually contributes to society to pay for these things, but I look at this as the same as the bailout money, it is better for the country to address it. I like what Walmart is doing with the NPs diagnosing and prescribing things for mild ailments, but do you see the healthcare industry reforming itself? The way they get ass-raped by the insurance industry I doubt you will see them embrace anything like this. IMO, there are a ton of things that could be done that wouldn't involve raising other people's taxes, but gov't waste is not going to go way. What I think you will see is Obama make a few, as he already has, largely symbolic laws that won't do anything.

I like how everyone has this major distaste for entitlement programs when these programs are not the reason taxes are so high, it's the waste that goes on at the top. Entitlement programs are a drop in the bucket. I think they figure in about 9% of the budget, do you really think you're going to reduce your taxes that much by working down that 9%?
