Anyone ever try this? Not exactly Keto but still............
I know a guy who has done it before with great results. Basically done this way:
5:00am - Training
6:00am - PWO shake, 25g whey, 80g dextrose, 10g BCAA'S, 5g creatine.
7:30am - 40g Old fashined oats, 1 serving of fruit.
THAT'S IT for starches. The rest of the diet is all veggies for the carb source.
Just wondering if anyone else has tried something similar to this?
Honestly, the first time I ever got my diet and macros intact was via keto. I figured I should boost my calories first before I tried cutting on a keto as I estimated I was only hitting 1500-2000 a day. So I boosted to 3500 and grew like a fucking weed. Maybe that was kind of a lucky circumstance since I had such a shit diet to start and my metabolism was slow from the little amount of food I was ingesting... but damnit, it was awesome regardless. Hardly no fat gain whatsoever; just appeared to be complete gain in muscle mass.
