What makes one an addict?

AAS, alcohol, MMJ, pills uppers/downers, caffeine, food, sugar, sex, porn, cutting on your body, body dis morphia?

Is there a line where one is worse then the other?

Discuss!!!!

I have a few above. Is there a time when enough is enough, or do we live with who we are is what we are and just deal?????????

Addictions are a matter of degree IMO. If it reaches the point of hurting a relationship, something has to be done. For some it may mean having to discontinue the activity, yet others can curb it in other ways.

sometimes addiction and obsessive/compulsive behavoir is confused. Addiction is physical, you wake up in the morning with the shakes because your alcohol level is low and you have to throw back a double, thats addiction. Had a buddy when i was young that had bad troubles because of booze, went cold turkey on his own and it killed him at like 23, who knew?ddt/central nervous system malfunction, that was a drag, finally wanted to do something right(for him) and it killed him. I had other freinds that lost wives and family and jobs, and everything else cuz they wouldn't stop smoking weed. Thats not a physical addiction, its obsessive/compulsive behavoir.I think black-outs would be the last time people would ever drink, but they see it as no big deal"i have no idea what happened last night, who i was with, or why i have blood on me, but it's cool" people close their eyes to the warning signs and they are always the last ones to know. Sorry to ramble, but i've lost ALOT of old freinds to booze and drugs, either by death or prison.
