A friend of mine put together an awesome handwritten sign outlining why she???s voting for President Obama this year, I think it says almost everything you need to know:

8.5% unemployment doesn't take into consideration the millions of people who have just flat out stopped looking for work. Of course unemployment #'s are going to drop, it's election season. Blaming Bush again...

Nice post for sure but, some of the things in that list are great accomplishments. Some are good. Some are bad things. Some that sound good, upon deeper examination are really bad.

I still do not believe Obuma is any different that Bush jr, Clinton, HW Bush, Reagan, Nixon. They all have the same puppet masters.

In 50 years Bush Jr. will be viewed almost universally as one of the Greatest. Presidents.Ever.
Not too many people know this but his master plan was to tank the economy first and then rebuild it to where all Americans can prosperous lives and the Wars.... well shoot, only he could start 2 wars and leave victorious but these damn non-believers didn't give him another chance to come out the Hero.

That was his plan.

recessions caused by financial collapses are not just "normal" recessions, this is the first mistake made by Americans in assuming this (lack of overall knowledge in econ and world history) and that there would be a speedy recovery. and the banking collapse was 100% the fault of financial deregulation, a lack of federal over-site on Wallstreet and corp governance. so yes it is Bush's fault as the IMF report showed how lobbying by subprime lenders in the early years of 2000 was a significant factor in the collapse and in who received bailout monies.

Japan's banks collapsed in the early 1990's (from financial deregulation) and their economy still has not recovered 22 years later.

financial deregulation has caused every single banking collapse in every single country in world history.

It's alway's finger pointing time. The FACT is that American's as a whole are not taking responsibility for OUR situation. And things won't change until we do. It's our country after all not the President's.

The finger pointing is a waste of time and energy I admit.

With that being said, what are your opinions of his accomplishments?

Spending other people's money is not an accomplishment.

when a particular actions show repeatedly that it has nothing except negative effects on the masses then finger pointing should be part of the process. if a policy fails every single time it is implemented and history shows this then it should never be allowed again in the future.

GOP caused recessions are 100% intentional, as they cause permanent wealth transfers. for decades the GOP has been trying to destroy the Democratic party, they want a one-party country and to design a country that is more similar to a corporate park then a country. where large firms have to pay no taxes, there are no environmental protections and no social protections for the people and you can pay them the lowest wages possible.

ALEC writes most of the legislation that the GOP tries to get passed. most of which is in direct contrast to the best practices reported by the OECD from data collected in over 120 countries.

I learned along time ago to only look at myself and see what I can change. It is not my responsibility to change other people. But I try to inspire people by my example and hope that everyday we can go one step higher. Eventually (hopefully) we can make progress.

I think the key is education (not only secular). I think we have to question everything. Re-think things and go inside (ourselves) and have the courage to speak out and do what we know is right for our country. We have let the scoundrals trick us for too long under the guise of benevolence. Only when we dare to speak out will our voices heard and a leader will appear that reflect's our new ideals.

So far, Americans are content to live the good life and not fight for freedom. We are content to bitch about conditions and have words but won't risk everything for a better future. ( I include myself in this, lol) Generations who have done that elicit results. I'm afraid we won't see that until things get so bad it's hard to ignore. Sad isn't it?

They say truth is easy to understand. But actually taking action is different. It's like having a nutritionist telling you what you eat to get in shape but you can't seem to do it.

But I tell you what. We are getting closer (to changing). I am close as well. I pray that we can tip the scales and get to the point where the ball start's to roll and makes a big splash in the collective world. Like a pebble that falls and creates ripples throughout the world.

People don't know what freedom feels like. So they are not willing to fight for it. They aren't willing to do what it takes to get it. If they could feel it then they would be inspired to rise up.

GWB is already considered one of the worst presidents in history, in 50 years he will easily have the #1 spot for a LOOONG time.

in years he will go down as #1. anybody that thinks that recession wasn't intentional is a blind ideologue. economists are already seeing the similarities between the causes of the great depression and the great recession.

I don't have too many military buddies that ate fans of W, and even fewer that are fans of Rumsfeld.

Hmmmmmmmm

I seriously doubt that. Obama makes Jimmy Carter look presidential. Those two will go down as the worst presidents in U.S. history. Carter and Obama must've both gone to the same school of apologies.

You must not have many military friends. As a matter of fact, it's been all over the news this morning; there's a Facebook page called military tea party. I was started by an AD Marine. There's controversy regarding whether or not he violates MCOJ with the page.

That sign has way too much writing on it...All it needs to say is:

only a loon would opt for gingrich, romney or santorum!

You must not have many military friends. As a matter of fact, it's been all over the news this morning; there's a Facebook page called military tea party. I was started by an AD Marine. There's controversy regarding whether or not he violates MCOJ with the page.

Why would anyone in the military care for a President who wanted to cut combat pay from $225 to $150 a month and the family separation allowance from $250 to $100 and threatened to veto a proposal to double the $6,000 payment to relatives of soldiers killed in action?

I seriously doubt that. Obama makes Jimmy Carter look presidential. Those two will go down as the worst presidents in U.S. history. Carter and Obama must've both gone to the same school of apologies.

what do you know about Carter you weren't even born then.

Carter got a bad deal because of the OPEC oil shock when the price of crude doubled because of the fiat dollar. the POTUS has control of neither the federal funds rate nor the monetary supply, controlling inflation is the role of the central bank...you don't know jack squat about US politics or economics

That's in the job description.

Yes but that doesn't make it an accomplishment. Funding cancer research isn't an accomplishment, finding treatments or cures is.

Only the FED has control of that for sure. AND they work it to do the most benefit for themselves, lower life people (that would be us) be damned. Ron Paul has it right. Get rid of the FED altogether.

So you want someone to run the country AND find a cure for cancer? It's probably better for a politician to give researchers more funding than to tackle that himself.

I have a lot of military friends, a few that are SEALs and one retired SEAL.

I have one friend that was in the 101st, he was one of the first in Iraq.

What the fuck does the TEA part have to do with Bush?

You're talking about Obama, right? Threatening to withhold military pay a few months back so social programs could be paid for. Cutting military benefits and retirement. Sequestration for the military to "save money." (really to pay for his illegal HC law)

Apologizing to our enemies on behalf of the United States military, bowing to foreign leaders, making sure U.S. troops are punished for the burning of the Korans.

Yep, great CIC.

I don't have too many military buddies that ate fans of W, and even fewer that are fans of Rumsfeld.

I guess you forgot about your previous post. You were implying that you don't know any/many military personnel that are fans of Bush or Rumsfeld.

I was countering your weak statement by providing an example of just how many military personnel are against Barack Obama and his insane policies and apologies.

If anything, I'm not even a fan of the guy, but most guys that I've served with and guys I've talked to, are fans of Ron Paul.
