Trayvon Martin's mom files trademark papers



SANFORD, Fla. – The mother of slain Florida teenager Trayvon Martin has filed papers seeking to trademark two slogans based on his name.

The U.S. filings by Sybrina Fulton are for the sayings "I Am Trayvon" and "Justice For Trayvon." The applications were filed last week.

The applications say the trademarks could be used for such things as DVDs and CDs. Attorneys who filed the did not immediately respond Monday to emails seeking comment.

Neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman has claimed he shot the 17-year-old Martin in self-defense. Martin's family claims racial profiling was behind the killing, which has become a national racial flashpoint. Martin was black. Zimmerman's father is white and mother Hispanic.

You're damn right it was fast. This is just part of the circle of life for these people. Run the streets, join a gang, get shot multiple times before your 20th birfday, dead by 25. Cry racism, ask for a payout, move on to the next..

I don't understand what point you're trying to make. You're attempting to discredit this story because it comes from "the mainstream media." Did this not happen? Did she really not attempt to trademark her dead kid's name? The MSM is making this up?
 
I just watched Bernie Goldberg destroy the liberal media and the civil rights movement. He said, "remember the Duke lacrosse case? Those white kids were convicted, and lambasted by the media and the civil rights movement and they were innocent, the did nothing wrong." He said he expects to see Al Sharpton disappear into the shadows within the next couple of days.

maybe you should research and see who actually started all those different groups (ACLU, AFC-CIO, etc.) and you will finally see the big picture on how long Americans have been being manipulated by US media outlets.


everything on tv is entertainment to me, you would do much better treating it as such yourself. everything either supports the left or the right...those that have not spent much time out of the US (military does not count) will never know just how radical our society is here. Americans take everything to extremes

Yes, mafia and communists started most of them.

Why would the military not count? I guarantee my 4 years in Italy with months touring Europe are far more valuable than a couple guided tours. I was young naive and innocent until then. I was actually a democrat before seeing what a colossal billion dead body mistake socialism/communism were.
