    Interim Blood Work Timing

I have a question about blood work timing.
I am newly started on TRT. I am taking Test Cyp right now 50mg ew as that is what my endo started me on.
I know when I do the blood work for my doctor I will do it 7 days after my last shot.
When would be ideal to do interim blood work on my own to see my Test Levels. Should it be the day of the shot, or the following day, etc.

50mg every 7 days isn't going to give you normal levels...get a new endo.

You should get the trough test level and that would be 7 days after your last injection and BEFORE your next injection.

A better starting would be 50mg every 3.5 days and also HGC.

The usual test doses I see are from 70mg up to 250mg per week and I've seen a few guys starting at 300mg per week lately, so 50mg is probably too light.

I think 100-200mg is common. Most doctors would only order cypionate so its usually 100mg/ml or 200mg/ml. So jumps up in 50mg/week are common. I know my levels are around 525 the day of my next injection on 100mg every 5 days which works out to 150mg per week.

Hang in there before dumping your doc. At least keep them until you find a new one. It was tough enough for me to even find a doc to prescribe test. I was started at 50 mg every two weeks!!! I just kept bugging them until i got up to 150 every week.

This doctor has been treating my wife for years after she had to have her thyroid removed due to a nodule that turned out to be malignant. I think she is just on the conservative side and starts out with a low dosage. I will see what happens after the first blood work.

So I got blood work using privatemdlabs so I can see where I am after 3 weeks on 50mg Test e/week. My last shot was on Mon of last week so I did the blood work on Mon of this week. I did the Hormone Panel for Females as stated in the post, but I guess taht doesn't include Free Testosterone. The only thing I am on other than the Test E is Formeron that I thought would help as an AI.

It looks like my Test went up quite a bit from the 237 I was prior to the TRT treatments, but it looks like my Estradiol is way high.
At this point should I include Adex at 12.5mg ed along with the Formeron?

    Here are the results
    Testosterone, Serum 565 ng/dL (348-1197)
    Estradiaol 31.6 pg/mL (7.6-42)

Probably should have waited a little longer than three weeks for BW...6 weeks would have been better.

How are you feeling with E2 at 31.6? If you are feeling ok I might not take an AI just yet...one guy says he needs his to be at least 30.

12.5mg is an aromasin dose,,,,an adex dose is like .5mg isn't it? Alot of guys when they do take an AI will only take it a couple times a week....you are acting like you are going to crush your E2 too low....

Your dose is extremely low. It won't take long to find some real good information to back up what doses he should give you (not bro science but a TRT doctor).

Somewhere between 100-200mg a week is normal for males, but the number really isn't what matters. Its at what dose do you feel better? (Granted your 200mg or less anything over is not TRT). Sadly most go by numbers, and the good ones go by how you feel.
