    Best Fat Sources for CKD...

    Any suggestion for the best possible fat sources (foods vs. EFA's) while on a CKD?

    I'm assuming that Vienna Sausages are not ideal...?

    I'm currently on a CKD and here's what I eat:
    walnuts
    pecans
    natty peanut butter
    flax oil
    olive oil

    That's basically all I eat for fat. I eat 6 meals a day and incorporate 1 of the items above with each meal.

    Also, I eat a lot of red meat (high in protein and fat)

    Newmans Dressings or Drew's are good too.

    Mayo, heavy cream, safflower oil, egg yolks!

    Sounds like a condiment fest! I'll go get my spoon......

    Actually, I was looking for something a bit more solid.....food-like. Although I suppose all of the above offer a great deal of 'ratio control'.
