Email bombed with old notifications

I get 20 emails at once and they are all old notifications. I changed my email in settings and im still getting mail.

Glitch in the matrix?

Yeah all the emails have been getting annoying to say the least... I am not even all that active... yet I get all sorts of emails?

I never receive e-mails but my settings are turned off for e-mail notifications.
