    Okay, shit got serious today
Today was an odd lift, the buffalo bar on bench press. This is a awkward bar to handle, and the curvature of the bar increases the range of motion. That being said when I open up on the straight bench bar again that weight will be easy money in the bag

So worked up to a 3RM with the buffalo

    375

    415

    430

In case you were wondering it's a 55lbs bar

After this I did a shit ton of accessory work
3 sets of db presses 20 reps
4 sets of tricep against band skull crushers
    4 sets biceps
4 sets of band shoulder raises

Safety bar squats I got 425
Not bad for that bar, did quite a few sets it was some good work
Definitely gonna demolish my last opener when I compete in June

Today was mostly a recovery day
We work on speed and some light accessory work

Ten sets of 3 reps with resistance bands... Speed baby speed

Then we do the accessory work

    Bicep routine
    Tricep routine
Lats for days (chest supported rows and pull downs)
    Ab routine
And a shoulder stability routine using just bands

    Bands el make ya dance

    Alright,

Below is my Roadmap to compete in the Arnold Classic next year. Working hard, and have achieved a lot in my sport. Come a long long way, especially considering I am relatively new to the sport. I have only been power lifting for a year, but I have of course always "worked out"

Next year I plan to compete in the Arnold Classic. I plan to compete in the Bench Only and the XPC Bench bash. I also hope to be able to qualify for a full meet. Either way this is a hell of an accomplishment. Few have achieved my level of pressing ability and over the next year I hope to really accomplish a lot.

XPC Qualifying Totals can be found:
    http://www.xpcpowerlifting.com/qualify/totals/

I am qualified as a Pro Lifter, so to make qualifications I will need to bench the following:
    445lbs at 198lbs bodyweight.
    495lbs at 220lbs bodyweight.

I hope to accomplish one of these in June, but in truth I will bench over 445 this April... however my current Bodyweight is 215lbs.

To qualify for full power I will need to make the following totals.
    1675lbs at 198lbs bodyweight.
    1760 at 220lbs bodyweight.

A slow slow grind will get me there.

In truth I will be BLESSED if I can compete among the very best in the world in bench press this next Arnold...

Currently I am well lined up to smash a 445lbs bench this April. I compete again in June and will try to smash that 445 at 198...

In the above video last week I smashed 430lbs for 3 reps with a buffalo bar (which is much harder than a normal bar due to increased ROM).

I am truly blessed and hope I can keep my training honed in and compete at the Arnold Classic next year with the best pressers in the world.

    Thanks for EVERYONE'S support.

My Prior competition totals can be found at:

    http://www.revolutionpowerlifting.co...013/XXX13.html
    http://www.southernpowerlifting.com/...lts.php?id=261

And in an overall, across ALL federations in the USA I am ranked 27th place in bench...

Had to cut yesterdays pressing short. Pretty happy overall.
The first successful press was 495 at the top... that is significantly more than my overall max.

The Sling Shot press if you notice I had some stability issues with my elbow. So we cut it off there and did some accessory work...

I must say god damn I am looking big. 215lbs...

    Competition is Saturday.

Will post my videos from that meet and then this thread is no more

Good luck bro. Nothing wrong with a deload before a meet. Just as long as you don't detrain. I've never completed and I don't know what would typically be recommended the week leading up to a meet but I personally would think that keeping intensity pretty high and volume very low would be a benefit.

Are you dealing with any injuries or nagging chronic issues that may effect your numbers?

Actually in PL the deload week involves no lifting whatsoever. Only stretching
