    The quest for 405 bench!!!






    Well I made it to 375 in Oct. and was well on my way. Then in Nov. what had been a sore shoulder for a few weeks became a pain that effected my workouts.
    Finally got in to see orthopedic last week .....MRI coming Wed. possible tear in rotor cuff or cartledge damage in joint. Needless to say the quest is postponed.
    After MRI be 2/4 before see Dr. Find out what's next.
    looks like everyday will be mutha fucking leg day!!!

    I finally got to repping 405... now all I can think about is tearing a rotator. Im afraid its going to turn into one of those mind created injuries. you know when you cant not focus on something, it seems to happen.

    Man that's a strong bench anyways. I can only dream of 405 it this point. Like was said, it's better to get it fixed before it gets way worse. Stock up on GH and TB500. Good luck on ur recovery.

    I was there myself for awhile.....joints just started to ache to much....wrist ...elbows....I stick to the low 300s now with no pain

    Google rotor cuff exercises...strengthen it to protect it and can add to bench total.

    Oh I have and I bet my rotators are lined with steel. but its my mind I worry about. I feel like I have made it to my mid thirties lifting heavy without injury. I have had a few friends who have torn theirs and Im just mentally subconsciously thinking about it as I look at the bench

    Got to 365 and the shoulder has been acting up. Had to back off but then I just become a mental case thinking I should be doing more.

    Would love to rep 405 at some point.... nice work

    Mine got where I couldn't rep 225 without pain. At first DB's didn't hurt but now I can't control the 125's on the down stroke. Same on bench the up not nearly as bad as the down.
    MRI tomorrow then wait to see Dr. again. I guess at 41 and first injury can't complain to much.

    I had both shoulders done 1 with a tear and the other with ac joint removable these where a year apart. I am 40 now if that tells you anything. I was doing 365 with the tear "was torn in the middle" and when I came back 415 was a breeze you will come back. I have screwed up back right now bulged disk so I am being careful I cant drive with my legs on the heavy bench.

    Injuries really suck man, im working threw some muscles i pulled, or over worked shoveling snow for 2 days, it was just really sore, untill my kid opened the car door and when it flew open, i went to grab it and thats all she wrote, i been just about crawling everywhere, i went to the gym and got by, but its minor compared to yours, im almost 48 so i wanted to share this with you, threw all the years of training, i always got injuries but they wernt because of heavy weight per se, they were from routines that didnt let me heal properly, and ofcourse the older we get, the longer it takes to heal, everytime i got caught up with working out 5 dayson, or 4, i got pains that led to injuries, and when i worked one on one off or two on one off, all the pains went away and i didnt get injured, wanted to share that with you, especially when guys come back from rest or operations, get that rest, you will thank me, im always ready now, and get great w/outs,

    good luck with them, i feel for you, i hate injuries it seems to set ya back, but youll always come back and get yours man, good luck

    Ok Dr. Called.....
    1. No Tears
    2. Tendinitis on Clavicle and Bicep tendon.
    3. Bone Spurs in AC joint.
    4. Inflammation.

    Cortisone shots next week and remove bone spurs later if needed.
    Looks like game on....

    Got my cortisone injection Thursday feels better and regained little range of motion. Good part after this scare rotor cuffs will get extra attention as weight goes back up.
