tendons needs a chiropractorish thing/massage

I read somewhere here on the forum about a treatment for tendons that is much akin to a chiropractor for your bones and joints. What is the name of the tendon specialists? I guess they do a crazy massage and dig on your tendons causing a stretch and breakdown of the knots or something. If you know what I am talking about or trying to figure out please let me know the name and how I might find someone trained in this area. I appreciate all the help I can get.

call a sports medicine therapist or something and ask if they do ART therapy
