Thank you, Really Thank you
Hello everyone,
Thank you all so much for the love and support, this has come as a shock to my wife, family and I. We have been finally discharged yesterday evening and trying to settle back in at home. The stroke, which initially I perceived as a seizure, did affect her right foot placement when she walks, so she is very unbalanced, and will need some physical therapy. I will be home much more now, and will put forth my focus on my family, and EliteBodyTuneup as my outside business will take me away from watching and helping her.
We don't have much Family, so most of this will fall on me.
As for the prognosis, Huntington's Disease, does run in her fathers blood line, but he died very young, and we do not know that part of her family very well, and the history is pretty sketchy, but from what we have learned, and been able to find out through family members we have been able to find, her fathers sister, and sisters daughter both have Huntington's.
Over the last year I have noticed as has she, some neurological deficits that we both kinda of dismissed, and most of her normal doctors dismissed as side affects of the hormone treatments she has been through, Clinical trial drugs, and the medicines she takes daily. In the last 6 months however I have noticed these symptoms persist much longer, and more frequent, such as a head tremor she has developed that comes and goes, where her head will shake very subtle in a left to right motion. Her memory has been very clouded, forgetting simple things, misplacing medicine, dates and so fourth. Some days for a period of time she will have very slurred speech, and not know she is slurring her words, then after a bit it clears and is normal again. Her mood is very extreme on a day to day basis, Very happy and joyous, to very unsocial, or very angry and sometimes violent.
According to the neurologist we met with, some overnight brain mapping, MRI's, CT's, EEG and an array of other testing has concluded she has had strokes in the past more than 2-3 but they have gone unnoticed. He is 100% convinced there is a neurological problem, but now the question is what? If the Huntington's genetic testing comes back negative, we will be following up with another specialist who can run a different set of testing to help us figure out what is happening, and if what ever she may have can be treated, or at least make things easier for her.
As you all can imagine, this has been very hard to grasp, and come to terms with for the both of us, we have dealt with Cervical Cancer and Endometriosis for many years, and have been very focused on just that, this is something very unexpected.
I appreciate all the love and support you all have shown me, and I am very grateful to HeyMrWaters, for letting all of you know what is going on in my families life. I'm doing my best to stay positive for her, but I cant help but be angry as hell, and I cant stop blaming my self for not doing something sooner when I knew what was happening with her was not a byproduct of other treatments, but I let myself get comfortable with her other doctors opinions on the situation.
I will still be fulfilling every review request EliteBodyTuneup has received, and will continue to take on, and train current clients. Now that I plan to be home more, I will start proceeding more aggressively, with some new features on Elite, that I believe everyone will find very useful, and beneficial.
I showed my wife the thread, and the outpouring of support, and while still to this day she doesn't quite understand the forums, and what relationships I have established here, she does know now, that our community is full of some great people, who genuinely care about one another, Tren be dammed ;-)
Please continue to pray for my Wife and my family, as whatever is going to come next will definitely bring some life altering changes to all of us.
Thank you all again, I cant say it enough.
OSL
