Testosterone replacement advice

I my testosterone is low but not enough to get the doc to subscribe replacement. I have seen a couple doctors. Can anyone advise on what I would need? I have need reading the threads and have learned a lot so I think 100mg a week of test C or E and something to reduce estrogen. I may be interested in cycles at some point but right now I am just looking to shed some of the symptoms of the low T. Thanks!
 
Sounds like a plan man. Just find a reputable source and you are g2g. For estrogen I use arimidex .3mg e3d. A lot of guys use anastrozole. You might not even need it at 100mg a week.
 
What is your T level? Age? If it's not low enough for two Docs not to prescribe replacement then maybe your not low for your age. You need to start by finding out what your level is then post that up.

Bishop what is the rest of your blood work show? E2 levels test free levels. 448 is not terrible are you having issues? People want to jump on HRT without thinking (not saying you are) but this is a lifetime of shots for the next 50 years maybe? So please try other things first. diet? whats your body comp now?
 
All other blood work came back normal. The doctor says I am just getting old but I have all the symptoms of low test. Other than that, I am very healthy.
 
Bishop. Did you see a Dr that specializes in TRT or a general doc? What levels docs find it necessary to give TRT varies a lot from what I've read. I know general docs seem to be a lot more conservative opposed to docs who specialize in TRT.

Arimidex = Anastrozole...Not trying to jump on you, if I am wrong please correct me....I use arimidex and when I am cruizing at 200mg test cyp I need .5mg E3D..But it would be really nice to see all of his blood work and for him to tell us his stats....:winkfinger:

At 55, I finally found a Doc to treat me with a 504 t level. I found this Doc at my wifes women's clinic, Women have fucked up hormones from the time they start their periods to well into their late years in life. So I think Doc's who work on women are a little more versed on hormones in general and are more willing to consider the quality of life issue when prescribing hormones. You can ask your pharmacist what Doc's in your area are prescribing test and see if any work in a women's clinic. I have been on 200 test C for 6 weeks now and I feel 10 times better than 6 weeks before I started. And that was with a 504 level. If I could not find a doc soon I was considering this stack, I am not saying anything good or bad about PSL cause I know nothing about them, But this would have been my first run regardlesss of where I got it from......:coffee:

Yeah I was probably thinking of Aromasin. I never used that.

Lots of good info thanks guys. Heres my ride on the TRT train with a doc who has no clue.
I'm 45 my levels were 4.7 pmol/L norm is 25 to 80.
It took my doc a long time and me finally saying listen up. MY levels haven't gone up in the 2 years I've been asking for TRT so lets do it.
She starts out at 100mg TE month 1, then 200mg month 2, and my levels come back low at the end of the month. (in my mind I'm thinking you aren't very smart because this only has a 2week half life)
Month 3 she bumps up to 400mg 4 single shots of 100mg. OH boy i'm a pin cushion. Guess what my levels come back low again but at least I finally have 2 weeks or so of feeling like this might work.
Month 4 // 400mg again but wants blood work after 2 weeks. I'm seeing a glimmer of hope, but I tell her that dropping to 300mg every 2 weeks might do the trick??
So at any rate this has been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster.
I did finally feel good at 400mg but from what I've read that might be a lot every 2 weeks?? I need to play her game until she is happy with a regiment that looks good for her and my blood labs.
 
I was tired and went to an endocrinologist , my thyroid was hyper and my test read 114. So she says 200 mg every two weeks ad thyroid med. I am glad I was tested and found out about thyroid so that may be a problem for you also. I placed myself on 250 week and the doctor is happy ' she raised " my levels .
 
you natural test level is 448, thats in range, its gonna take some convincing to make a doc give you a script.
 
My doc originally put me on androgel for about 6 months . I couldn't stand having to put it on every day . I talked him into giving me test c 200mg ew. Love it . My last test levels were 687 7 days after last pin.
