Obama Moves To Ban Your Rifle Ammunition


President Barack Obama made a public promise to enact his gun control agenda ?with or without Congress.?
Now he?s trying to make good on that promise.
The Obama administration?s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) recently announced a dictatorial ban on the popular M855 or ?green tip? rifle ammunition ? one of the most popular cartridges for the most popular rifle in America, the AR-15.
No vote by Congress. No will of the people. Through executive action, Obama is moving to outlaw the manufacture and importation of common ammunition that millions of law-abiding Americans use every day for target shooting, hunting, and self-defense.
Obama figures if he can?t ban our guns, he?ll render them useless.


M855 ammunition has long been exempt from a federal ban on ammunition because it is ?primarily intended to be used for sporting purposes.? Nothing has changed. That is how it?s used today. Obama is trying to unilaterally overturn nearly 30 years of settled law, and if he gets his way, this action will pave the way for even more sweeping bans on other common forms of ammunition.
Obama?s gun control agenda cost his Party dozens of seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and outright control of the U.S. Senate in last November?s elections. It?s no wonder why he?s desperate to give his anti-gun backers, like former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a win at any cost.
NRA?s Institute for Legislative Action has worked with U.S. Representative Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, in support of a letter to BATFE expressing lawmakers? opposition to the Obama ammo ban. U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley (IA), Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, has spearheaded a similar letter in the Senate.
We?re also driving gun owner comments to the BATFE website, mobilizing our national grassroots network, meeting with elected officials, and exposing the severity of this threat to gun owners across America.

However, we need every gun owner and every American who cares about their fundamental, constitutional right to keep and bear arms to make their voice heard today.

Yes and no. I can see them lasting for decades very easily. I think of it as basically a "man purse" for my guns which were very expensive especially when you factor in how much we pay for optics and weapon lights.
