If any of you guys think this is just some weak herb that is nothing but hype, think again. This stuff has drug-like effects--because the active alkaloids within it are indeed drugs. Just like morphine is derived from the poppy plant, so is 7-hydroxymitragynine derived from Kratom. Both have very similar effects in the body, as both attach to and activate the opiod receptor. In fact, 7-hydroxymitragynine has been shown to be significantly more potent than morphine when compared on a mg per mg basis.
