Any idea if we'll ever achieve a Star Trek level of technology?

Revelations eh who knows, in some ways we are already there. As far as transporters, hmm.

there was something on this subject on some TV show some time ago. A couple things I remembered that 'came to be' were: The mini-skirt really caught on, if I recall..and cell phones (like the tri-corders)
yeah...transporters would be cool though...
