Nathan De Asha to hear court decision for dealing steroids

After the 2019 Mr. Olympia, Nathan De Asha will return to the UK to hear the decision of the court for his part in dealing steroids.

Nathan De Asha to hear court decision for dealing steroids after 2019 Mr. Olympia.

According to the Liverpool Echo, a gym owner was jailed for purchasing £10,000 worth of steroids from pro bodybuilder Nathan De Asha – who is currently in the USA getting ready to compete for the 2019 Mr. Olympia.

Richard Green was sentenced at Exeter Crown Court after buying the drugs from Liverpool man Nathan De Asha.

De Asha, 33, pleaded guilty in July to dealing the illegal anabolic steroids which Green then sold out of his Pain and Gain gym in Devon.

Significant amounts of the steroids were found when police raided the gym in August 2017 while investigating an unrelated drugs case.

A sender’s address on the package led officers to alert colleagues in Liverpool , where De Asha runs his own bodybuilding studio.

De Asha, who calls himself The Prophecy, was also due to be sentenced alongside Green today but was allowed leave of absence because his defence barrister could not make the hearing date.

He used the delay to travel to America for one of the biggest events in bodybuilding, which takes place next weekend.

He qualified for the prestige contest by winning the British Grand Prix in June and is one of the highest rated competitors.

In his absence, Green was jailed for four and a half years for making thousands of pounds selling cocaine and ecstasy as well as peddling £10,000 worth of steroids to the customers at the gym.

Five months of his sentence was for selling on the steroids he originally bought off De Asha.

Green and his wife Georgina were found with the steroids and £56,000 cash in the locked boiler room at the gym.

Police have released pictures of the steroids and cash, which was found in a plastic shopping bag before being taken out and counted.

The police investigation started when Richard Green was stopped by police in August 2017 with 306 ecstasy tablets and £2,300 cash in his car.

Searches uncovered 30 grams of cocaine worth £1,500 in a lockup, the steroids and cash at the gym and lists of customers who owed them money at their home.

Green is also a former body builder and self confessed steroid user who called himself Mr Iron Man on social media.

His wife called herself Mrs Iron Man.

Green, aged 48, of King Edward Street, Barnstaple, was convicted of possession of MDMA (ecstasy) and cocaine with intent to supply and possession of the £56,000 as criminal property.

He admitted possession of Class C steroids with intent to supply and possession of £2,300 cash which was seized from his car. He was jailed for four years, six months by Judge David Evans at Exeter Crown Court.

Georgina Green, aged 41, was found guilty of possession of steroids with intent to supply and possession of £56,000 as criminal property.

he was jailed for 12 months, suspended for two years and ordered to do 240 hours unpaid community work.

De Asha of Grange Lane in Gateacre will be sentenced at a later date.

The judge set a timetable under the Proceeds of Crime Act which will lead to them being stripped of any assets linked to their offending.

He told Green: “You used a legitimate business as a front for the sale of drugs.

“You both concealed £56,000 in cash which was the proceeds of drug dealing.”

During a week-long trial in July, the jury heard how a trail of messages showed Georgina Green ordering large amounts of steroids from De Asha. His address was found on the packaging and his fingerprint on one of the boxes.

She told him that “we can’t get that stuff down here, we’ll have the job lot.”

She called De Asha “darling” and said “I want to kiss you” when he offered to supply the steroids.

Green claimed the ecstasy and cocaine were all for his own use and said the money in the boiler room came from the sale of a sound system and from his wife’s sideline business making ready meals for gym customers.
