    Vit's for hair?

I have a friend who was told she needs more vitamins in her diet to supply nutrients for her hair. I told her some EFA's, some additional vitamin E, and a multi were some things she could take. Is this ok or should she take something else? I don't know to much in this area and was wondering if anyone here does?

I know biotin and the B vitamins are important and MSM is supposed to make hair grow quicker as well as lead to healthier skin and nails.

As a side note, there is a potential correlation between some ketogenic diets and hair loss. The factor involved here is supposed to be that during a keto diet, B vitamin absorption is hampered, but I don't believe this is a problem in a CKD..

Well she isn't really on any diet, she just doesn't eat much, don't ask me why. And she doesn't have a problem with the hair growing its just that it is like brittle or something like that and it needs vitamines to help it have life. I don't really know much about this area here sorry.

I agree with Dale. Biotin and Vitamin b definitely helps your hair. Aim for about 500mg of biotin and vitamin b. Taking a multi-vitamin here(and anywhere!) will help you keep your healthy hair shine
