We were unable to locate Natural Care Tea in our local supermarket, but we were able to order it from web stores. Natural Care Tea was developed by Hindustan Unilever Research Center in consultation with traditional Indian healers, who are rooted in Ayurveda. Natural Care Tea consists of 4.5 percent herbs that have a vitalizing role in Ayurveda. To be precise, Natural Care Tea consists of 0.5 percent Withania somnifera, 0.5 percent Glycyrrhzia glabra, 1.5 percent Zingiber officinale, 0.5 percent Ocimum sanctum and finally 1.5 percent Elettaria cardamomum aka green cardamom. And for the rest Natural Care Tea is just tea.
Study
In their publication, researchers at Unilever Research describe an experiment in which 32 people over 55, who regularly drank tea, acted as test subjects. The test subjects were healthy, but had been hit by a cold or the flu remarkably often in the past 6-8 months. So the subjects' immune system was not optimal.
Half of them started drinking New Care Tea for 2 months, [experimental group] the other half drank regular tea [control group].During the trial, the researchers removed Natural Killer cells from the subjects' blood and brought them into contact with cancer cells. They then determined how quickly the Natural Killer cells killed the cancer cells.
Results
The subjects in the control group did not change much, but after 2 months the activity of Natural Killer cells in the experimental group had increased by 60 percent.

The researchers also describe a larger study in their publication, with more test subjects. The results of that larger study confirmed the results of the earlier and smaller study.
