Ask a guard; "If I asked the other guard if door A leads to freedom, would he say yes or no?" If the answer is No, go out through door A, if the answer is yes, go out door B.
What do I win? =) Cuz its right, right?
here is a mind teaser for you.
You find yourself in a room with 2 doors and a guard standing in front of each door. One of the doors leads to freedom, the other door leads to instant death. You MUST choose a door to go through. To help you choose your allowed to ask ONE guard a question. Only 1 question and to only 1 guard. The problem here is, one guard ALWAYS lies and one guard ALWAYS tells the truth BUT you don't know which guard is which.
So now you have to ask your question to one of the guards to find out which door leads to freedom.
What would your question be.
*********************
I'll ask one question to start this off:
I ask the guard standing in front of one of the doors: Is your door the door that leads to freedom?
the guards responds yes BUT I don't know if he is the guard that always tells the truth or always lies and now my question is gone. I loose.
Ask a guard; "If I asked the other guard if door A leads to freedom, would he say yes or no?" If the answer is No, go out through door A, if the answer is yes, go out door B.
What do I win? =) Cuz its right, right?
I'd ask the guard "Would you step outside with me real quick?"
I would ask these stupid guards how the hell I got in this room in the first place.
Or to make it simpler, just ask one of the guards "what would the other guard say is the door to freedom?"Originally posted by JJJ

I dont see how that would solve the problem.

Well you do the "opposite" of what the guard tells you.Originally posted by camarosuper6
I dont see how that would solve the problem.
example you ask guard 1 which door will guard 2 tell me is the door to freedom. Guard 1 says door1. So you go through door2.
If you asked the lying guard who told you door 1 then you go through the opposite. If Guard 1 is telling the truth and says Guard 2 will say door 1 he Knows the guard is lying but tells you the truth so he tells you guard 2 says door1. So again you go through door 2.
Awww crud, so I was wrong I guess
But JJJs is so nice! Couldnt there be a way with a little more violence involved?
Should have known the Swede would find the correct non-violent answer
Well Eggs yes we can add violence. You walk up to guard one, you take his sword from him bringing it to his throat. You look coldly into his eyes and ask him which door the other guard would say. After his response, you run him through just for general principles. Then go through the opposite door that the other guard said but,,,just before leaving,, you open the door of death, throwing the last living guard through it and he dies a horrible death that was meant for you.

Chuck Norris once lost his keys and couldn't remember where he put them. So he tortured himself for half an hour until he gave up their location.
