    deadlift question






    How are you supposed to bring the barbell down? I've been using a sort of controlled fall where I basically relax my legs and reverse the motion but, I keep my back straight. Is there anything wrong with this approach? How do you do it?

    I just set it back down, very controlled and fairly slow.

    controlled drop. I see no need for a slow negative on a deadlift.

    iMan323, great question!

    I just assumed that like every other exericse, that I needed to do the negative portion of the deadlifts.

    Are there any other exerices that I shouldn't do the negative portion of?
