Long cutting phase - 12+ weeks
Short cutting phase - 4-8 weeks
Which one do you usually do? Why do you prefer one instead of the other?
Doing a short one. Coz dont have much to loose.
Depends how fat i am.
If i was to get up to 20-25%, i'd do a long one down to at least 15%.
Otherwise, i barely go over 6-8 weeks dieting. I'm not competing so there's not much point.
Besides, with my biochemistry, i've a tendancy to hold fat and lose muscle too easily, as well as gain fat and not much muscle easily when bulking, so i tend to do short durations of both.

I can gain fat and muscle pretty fast. Mostly because I am in the early phase of development. I used to say that the fat didn´t bother me at all. It is not true. When I feel the fat I need to do a short term cutting right away.

i've been bulking straight for almost a year now, i might want to shed some fat here pretty soon though, i can drop weight pretty fast with increased activity and a careful eye on the diet
