I'm goin' out later to buy some new cd's, anyone have any suggestion?

I'm talkin' HEAVY here. I tried Atreu, its ok. I tried Slipknot

I like bands that do nothing but scream and BANG music....Pantera, Hatebreed and Metallica are pretty much all i listen to :buttrock: :fire:

Anyone have any suggestions?

I've only heard their one famous song, Du Hast (i think it is).

They're ok. But i need somethin' that's HEAVY. So far, no one compares to the Cowboys from Hell or Hatebreed.

'Sonne' is good. Classy video too.

If you want heavy you need death metal. Metallica??? Huh? Yeah they were heavy in 1983 :haha:

Exodus latest album, awesome (thrash metal).

If you like the Pantera/Hatebreed sound try:

Crowbar - Start with "Broken Glass
Down - Start with "NOLA" Pillars of Eternity will clean your chrome

'In Flames' cd: Clayman
 Or anything by them. Awesome European band. Highly recomend it :thumb:

Slayer is always a good backup too. I think you'll like 'God hates us all'

What about Fear Factory or Violent Work of Art, or Sepultera, Rammstien is actually really Heavy but it's all in German. I doubt you really wanna go as heavy as death metal, I mean if you've heard one Napalm Death song you've heard em all. But definately all they do in Death Metal is Scream and Bang.

Napalm Death...Death Metal....now we're talkin' :rocker:

i'll hafta check them out for sure. thanks :thumb:

Messughah- a sweedish death metal band......excellent!!

Yep. If you like that southern edge that Pantera has you'll definitely like. Crowbar is sludgy and the singer has this wicked growl of a voice but you can actually make out the words unlike most growlers.

I can put it up, its haaaaaaaard shit, not for the weak of heart. Chimaera is also insanely good with their latest album.

I have 15 Napalm albums. Fear Factory's latest is pretty good, Meshugga is - a change of pace, not the norm stuff.

Exodus' new one is the only top notch one mentioned so far, IMO. Messughah is ok. Try these:

Awesome Death/Black metal:

Any album by: "Death"
Album: "Rapture" by Dragonlord
Album: "Damnation and A Day" by Cradle of Filth
Album: "Slaughter of the Soul" by At The Gates
Album: "Death Cult Armageddon" by Dimmu Borgir
Album: "The Gathering" by Testament

Quality Shouting/Hardcore Bands:

God Forbid
Unearth
Machine Head
Shadow's Fall
The Haunted
Lamb of God

Other awesome metal bands:

Opeth
Iced Earth
Dauntless http://www.tentonhammer.net/dauntless/downloads.html
Halford
And Oceans

I could go on forever. These are some that just popped in my mind. I'm a HUGE Heavy Metal Fan with hundreds of the best Heavy metal albums from many different genres. Let me know more about what you are into and I will turn you on to some of the worlds finest (and least known) bands. Here is a good source, too:

http://www.metal-rules.com/reviews/

Superjoint Ritual is Phil's (Pantera's singer) new band. I don't suggest them.

Meshugga is - a change of pace, not the norm stuff.

yeah, very progressive. Very technical. Amazing musicianship and awesom technique. the guitar players are amazing.

Rammstein is humor on a high level. Guess they wont sell much in the US after this album though. Or maybe they will since no one understands the lyrics anyhow =)

Why did I always think that Meshuggah was norweigan? hm...

Why did I always think that Meshuggah was norweigan? hm...

they are from stockholm sweeden. ;)

I like system of a down for lifting. I wouldnt call it death metal. Especially the "shame on a nigga who tried to run game on a nigga" song. Its good shit. :)

I have to admit that Unleashed is not bad, when I used to listen to them they had only one guitarist and it was clear he was not able to carry the band like Dimebag did IMO.
