And Metallica had to get all "weird"

I miss the late eighties. All the metal out there now is either too 'korn' or drowning with double bass drum noise.

:)

Korn sux....he is responsible for mass production of medioacre nu metal.

Dude you were like FIVE or SIX in the late 80s. You miss the late eighties musically? Not only was that some "mature" taste in music for a five-year old, that's also a heck of a memory you have!

I heard somebody on Howard Stern say Korn is for kids who cry because they aren't popular in High school.

I'm not bashing Korn, it just isn't metal

When did Megadeth still kick ass? When Mustaine took Ellifson to court???

They have sucked for years.

Uhh no, he has always had technical skill hence him being a lead guitarist for Metallica. He has no creative FEELING. He said so himself, he was ice, Marty was fire.

Youthinasia, and Count down to extinction were both great albums IMHO.

I' have a wide appreciation for music though.]

I always dug Marty's chromatic licks and riffs.

Countdown was so studio it was dry, but I accepted it as good. Youthinasia, sucks.

Technically, he wasn't able to hold a candle to Hammet on solos for hit the lights or anything on Kill em' all. (Or at least that's how it looked from Cliff em' all and boot legs. But they were all always so plastered, I still don't know how they played  ) Mustaine didn't really start swinging until Count down to extinction IMHO

I agree about the creative feeling though.

Rust in Peace man, Countdown was the beginning of the end.

I had too! It's the rules, since you went and reminded me i'm a young'n

I still love Metallica. The last album was hard & raw.....but sadly lacking in Kirk solos. :(

Megadeth has been sucking for years. (Though I still prefer them to this "new metal" bullshit.)

Rust in Peace is one of the top 10 thrash albums of all time, abstract???

Low? Bro you are complaining about double bass and you are saying how great Testaments move to near death metal is great?

Come on brother, what gives!?

James Murphy replacing Alex Skolnick - and you can't get any heavier than that!

Kill 'em All
Ride the Lightning
Master of Puppets
Justice for All
Metallica

Those are what I would listen to. A tiny bit of Load (choad) almost appealed to me, but I wont admit to it in public. I was one of the FEW people in the bay area it seemed to appreciate the "black album" at all. Nobody dug Bob Rock.

True true, But At least it isn't quite morbid angel  or slayer devine intervention :)

There's nothing wrong with Morbid Angel's double bass. And Megadeth was 'the in crowd' band.

Rust in Peace was a great album, but still a far cry from Master of Puppets or even Black Album.

Not crazy about And Justice For All (except for "One"), but loved Master of Puppets!!! Though, Ride the Lightning is still my Fav.

Megadeth does kick ass

I heard somebody fixed today
There was no last goodbyes to say
His will to live ran out
I heard somebody turned to dust

Looking back at what he left
A list of plans and photographs
Songs that never will be sung
These are the thinge he won't get done

I've seen the man use the needle, seen the needle use the man
I've seen them crawl from the cradle to the gutter on their hands
The fight a war but it's fatal, it's so hard to understand
I've seen the man use the needle, seen the needle use that man

Just one shot to say goodbye
One last taste to mourn and cry
Scores and shoots, the lights go dim
Just one shot to do him in

He hangs his head and wonders why
Why the monkey only lies
But pay the pauper, he did choose
He hing his head inside the noose

I've seen the man use the needle, seen the needle use that man
I've seen them crawl from the cradle to the coffin on their hands
They fight a war but it's fatal, it's so hard to understand
I've seen the man use the needle, seen the needle in his hand
Cryptic writing on the wall, the beginning of the end
I've seen myself use the needle, seen the needle in my hand
:rocker: :rocker: :rocker: :rocker: :rocker: :rocker: :rocker: :rocker: :rocker: :rocker:
